  1. 📽️ Massive news for the Music and AI Industries: Youtube is launching a Music AI Incubator in partnership with UMG and big artists like Anitta, Ryan Tedder and the Frank Sinatra estate. They have committed to three principles that aim to ‘responsibly embrace AI together with music partners’ but it remains to be seen if this is an overall good move for musicians.

  1. 🔖 Twitter user @Irathy_eth is curating Web3’s biggest music list: make sure to leave your details in the comments!

  1. ⚖️ Some news from the legal aspects of AI Music/Art now: US District Court Judge Beryl A. Howell has ruled that AI-generated art can’t be copyrighted stating that “copyright law has “never stretched so far” as to “protect works generated by new forms of technology operating absent any guiding human hand.”

This could have massive implications for platforms like Youtube which as we read earlier could be attempting new AI music in partnership with record labels - but who is the human hand in this case, is it the musician or the label?

  1. Two-year anniversary of Music NFT project @ToolsofRockNFT commemorating 80s music with art by @CameronKinchen. At a time when projects die off barely a few months after launch it’s exciting to see a Music Project thriving and getting ready for a Vol. 2.
